How to operate a digital camera

Read your Digital Camera Manual, before taking photos.

Check your batteries

Insert your storage media card in the right slot. If you forget to insert your media card, you’ll get a "No Card" message

Remove the lens cap

Turn the camera on

Turn off the LCD

Make sure your camera is set for automatic mode

Push the zoom lever

Bring the camera up to your eye and look through the viewfinder

Push the shutter button half way down gently and confirm the green light is on.

Push the shutter button all the way down until you hear a beep

Turn off the camera when you no longer wish to take photos
