How to open safari pages in the background

Here's a common pet peeve: you click on a link...

...and you are automatically taken to the next page. What if you don't need that page at this moment, but want to have it up and running?

Go to Settings.

Go to Safari.

Go to Open Links.

Press In Background.

Now, hold down the link you want.

This will pop up. Press Open In Background.

Now, press that little square in the corner.

The link is on a new page, and loaded at that. That way, you won't be interrupted from your current page.
