This is a sauce/custard that you mix without cooking it. It goes really fast and tastes great. If you prefer it thinner, whisk the cream less thick.
Whisk the cream. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar.
Add bourbon vanilla powder.
Whisk until fluffy.
Gently "fold" in the cream in the bowl with the vanilla mix.
This is what it looks like when it's done! Note; if you prepare it well in advance, gently stir it before serving it since it gets "layered".
I got a question about what to serve it to. It goes perfectly with my spicy apple cobbler (one of my first guides) as well as to any cobblers/crumbles with blueberries, raspberries etc.
- 2.0 Egg yolks
- 1.0Tbsp Sugar
- 1.0tsp Bourbon vanilla powder or essence
- 200.0ml Whipped cream
