My Brit husband missed custard, so I bought a tin of custard powder. It cost a fortune and when I read the label, it was full of additives. So I found this recipe on line. He loves it!

Split the vanilla pods and scrape out the seeds. Rub the seeds into a small amount of the sugar, using the knife. Save the pods.

Blend every thing except the pods. Cut the pods in 3-4 pieces and place them in the  container you are going to use for storing the powder.

  • 2.0 Vanilla beans
  • 1.0tsp Salt
