How to make your gmail contacts show up on your iphone

Find the Settings Icon on your IPhone

It looks like a GEAR

Tap on the settings Icon This will bring you to another screen. You want to scroll down this screen until you see the setting for MAIL, CONTACTS, AND CALENDARS

TAP ON MAIL CONTACTS AND CALENDARS

After tapping in MAIL CONTACTS AND CALENDARS Look for a setting that says ADD ACCOUNTS and then tap on that setting.

Tap on ADD Account...

Scroll down and then tap on the OTHER option.

Tap on OTHER. It's waaaay down on the bottom

Tap on "ADD Card DAV Account"

Tapping on "Add CardDAV Account" will set you up to add your GMail contacts info

You will need to enter Server: google.com Gmail email address Gmail password Descriptive name for contacts

email username & password is given to you from your google apps admin or your ISP. If it is a FREE Gmail account - it is just the Gmail Address.

If all the info is added correctly you get some beautiful checkboxes! Success!!

You need to see these check boxes. If you don't you've entered something wrong and you need to try again.

Now find your contacts on your IPhone and you will start to see them show up!!

WARNING : IF YOU DON'T SEE CONTACTS RIGHT AWAY - DON'T PANIC. Depending on how many contacts you have, it could take up to 15-30 minutes for them to appear.

Do you remember when I typed in GOOGLE CONTACTS as my descriptive name? That is how it shows up as a new contact group.
