Lay out spoons. Lay cardboard or plastic to protect your surface. I taped down some plastic wrap.
Pour a small amount of paint into a small container.
Get a small amount of paint on the sponge. You don't want it to be dripping with too much.
Paint one side of the spoons. I realized after a few spoons that it is easier to start with the handle and sides before laying down to do the spoon.
Finish the spoon end, carefully holding the handle so it doesn't move around on you.
Put a quick second coat on them before letting them dry for a couple hours. Then flip them over and paint the other side the same way.
Start decorating by adding the focal point decorations first. I threaded ribbon through bells, tied the ribbon then glued it to the spoon.
Glue the loose end of the ribbon (still on the spool) to the back of the spoon. I put it at an angle so it will spiral up the handle.
Turn the spoon and wrap the ribbon around. Every few turns I put a small drop of hot glue on the back to secure the ribbon in place. At the top, glue the ribbon at the back and cut it.
Try this using fake berries. Be creative!
Add more embellishments to cover any obvious glue.
Tie a bow using some ribbon and glue it to the spoon.
Cut a 3" piece of ribbon, fold it to make a loop and glue the ends to the back of the handle.
