This is what the finished product looks like! 😍💕
Assemble All the supplies! Iron, wax paper, kraft paper, crayons, sharpener, string, scissors, and a pencil 📄✏✂
Cut the wax paper into a 12 by 16 inches rectangle 📄✂
Fold in half 🙏
And unfold 👏
Select the crayon colour of your choice, and begin to make shavings of them from the sharpener ✏
These are the colours I used! Reds, oranges, and pinks :) ✏✏✏
Cover half the wax paper in the shavings and distribute evenly, but don't make them too thick! I made mine a bit too thick and it took me way longer to melt! I would recommend almost half this amount!
Fold the paper on top 🙏
Fold the open edges about 1/2 an inch, to prevent the melted crayon from melting out! 👋👐👏
It should look like this! ✔
Put your kraft paper underneath, make sure to cover your whole working area! 📜📜📜
As well as on top! Cover all of the wax paper 📜📜📜
Turn on your iron and use at medium-high heat, iron all throughout the paper and make sure not to miss any areas! Do this until the shavings have all melted! Like LIQUID melted! ☀💨💦
It should look like this! ✔
Draw hearts on your paper and cut, if the crayon wax comes out crumbly, iron again! ✏💕✂
This is how mine look after cutting! I know, I know, they look so ugly! But just wait, hanging in front of a window they look beautiful 💕😍
Attach thread or string and hang in front of a window! They look SO GOOD! I can't even emphasize it, this picture does them no justice! (The camera can't pick up the lighting and focus on the hearts!)
The view from my bed! 😍💕☀
Thanks for reading my guide and I hope all yours turn out amazing like mine! 😍💕
By the way this craft wasn't my idea! I decided to post in snapguide to share the idea! Here is the website where I got it from: http://www.marthastewart.com/272535/crayon-hearts 😄😍💕👍
