Pour two pints into the bowl. If you're using a hand mixer or a whisk make sure that your cream has room to expand about double the volume
Beat cream on high. If you're using a whisk you really have to put some muscle into it, It will take a considerably longer time than with a hand mixer or stand mixer. But the results are worth it!
Be sure to scrape the edges of the bowl this is a good time to add the vanilla
Once your cream starts to stiffen add your powdered sugar as much or little as you prefer. Just depends on how sweet you like your whipped cream
Your whip cream should form stiff peaks meaning that when you pull the whipped cream up it holds its shape.
