Heat the oil over low heat in the saucepan
Add the chopped onion
Add the chopped garlic
Add the chopped potatoes
Add the chopped carrot
Sauté for about 10 minutes or until softened
Fill the saucepan with water
Add the black pepper
Add tumeric
Add the chicken stock
Add the green peas
Add chopped tomatoes and reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes ,or until the vegetables are tender when pierced with a fork
Add the parsley to taste
