Collect four cups of fresh basil.

Wash and dry the basil.  I have a lettuce spinner to make this process much easier.

Add four cups of packed basil to the food processor.

Add four cups of packed basil to the food processor.

Pulse the food processor a couple of times to make more room for the rest of the ingredients.

Add the lime juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, almonds, and...

Nutritional yeast.

Tip: roll the lime on a hard surface with your palm to soften the lime. This makes the lime easier to juice.

Turn on the food processor for about one minute.

Process until the pesto is creamy.

Store in a glass container. I reuse my glass jars. Saves money and our planet. :)

I made pizza with the homemade pesto. It was so good!!!
