Booze! Your choice of vodka, rum, or bourbon. I'm making three separate batches but you can do whichever ones you want.
Vanilla beans! I have a lot that I got on sale so I'll be using a lot, but you really just need about 3 beans per cup of alcohol.
Split the vanilla beans lengthwise and cut them to fit in your containers, if necessary.
Add beans to containers and fill up with your alcohols.
Seal 'em up and let them sit in a cool dark place for at least a month. Shake gently every few days.
They should get nice and dark like this.
