INGREDIENTS

Gather supplies

You'll need asian pear/anise puree, Partida Blanco Tequila, lime juice, gum syrup, a shaker, double strainer, and a spray bottle for absinthe.

Fresh squeeze 1 oz. lime juice

Ahead of time: make Asian pear purée. Poach peeled, cored Asian pears and star anise in white wine. When it thickens, take off the heat and purée. Chill, then use 1 oz. in this cocktail.

Add 1 oz. gum syrup for sweetness

Tequila is a fun way to experience a Fall cocktail. Add 1.5 oz Partida Blanco Tequila.

Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice until the outside turns frosty.

Taste with a straw

Prep a chilled Old Fashioned glass with ice

Double strain through a fine-meshed sieve.

Spray the top of the drink with absinthe to give the nose more of a hint of anise

Garnish with a whole star anise. Sip. Be merry.

Absinthe hits the nose, alerting you to anise inside. Pear slow cooked with anise give it thickness & spice. Lime & tequila add a bright agave burst of flavor. It's well-balanced & delightfully smooth
