Milo is a malt/chocolate drink its lovely to drink but even lovelier in these muffins!

I had some left over milk chocolate (really tiny) so I melted it an added it to my mixture. It's not necessary so you can skip this.

Add your eggs one at a time (your eggs should be at room temp. If it isn't drop them in a bowl of warm water and allow to sit for 5 to 10 mins)

Add the oil and yoghurt or sour cream; You don't want to skip this, it makes it reeeeeeallllyyyyy moist! (I used yoghurt)

Add the dry ingredients to the wet in 3 batches

Mix till just combined, don't be tempted to over mix

When the third batch of the dry ingredients are mixed in it'll look and feel like mousse

Spoon into your lined muffin tins. You can pour directly into a greased tin as well

Ready to go into the oven at 350 for 25 mins. Keep checking after the first 20mins. When a toothpick inserted comes out clean, it's done.

The smell in the kitchen was out of this world! Sadly it collapsed a bit because I used too much leavening (I've adjusted the recipe accordingly for this guide). Still tasted yummy though!

Sprinkle with some more of that delicious Milo and devour! It's so moist and light that even after leaving one in the fridge over night, it still felt lovely and gooey!

  • 1/2c Milo
  • 1.0c Flour
  • 3/4c Sugar
  • 1/3c Yogurt or sour cream
  • 50.0g Butter (half a stick)
  • 2.0 Eggs
  • 1/2tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4tsp Baking soda
  • 1.0tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/3c Canola oil
