How to make the buckyballs giant ball

Start with 180 Buckyballs

Take a strip of 5 balls

Make a ring with the 5 balls

Take a strip of 10 balls and stick them around the ring of 5 balls

Make 12 such rings

After checking for polarity, stick 2 of these rings along any edge of 3 balls. Make sure they bulge in the same direction

Make a ring of 5 such sets

Make another ring with 5 sets

Join the two by filling the grooves of one ring with the other.

Fill the top gap with one ring of 15 magnets

Do the same for the bottom gap

You have your giant Buckyball ball! That is a lot of balls 😜
