Begin with your fruit. A banana is the foundation, but the frozen fruit can be anything from berries to mango to apples...Be creative! I like a combination of strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries.

Add just enough milk (non-dairy or regular to cover the base. (Juice works well too.) Too much will make the smoothie soupy.

Now your optional ingredients: Greek Yogurt for creaminess, rolled oats for texture/substantialness, fresh/frozen spinach for the color green (I swear you can't taste it at all), ice for thickness.
