How to make tequila simple syrup
My good friend Jose Cuervo paid me a visit. I'm still standing. This simple syrup is great when drizzled on fruit and sherbet.

STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Bring sugar, water, tequila, and triple sec to a boil in a small saucepan. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves, about 1 minute. Let cool slightly.
Arrange watermelon (or any other melon) in a single layer in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
Pour syrup over watermelon wedges, and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
Remove watermelon from syrup, and arrange on a platter. Squeeze limes over melon...
...and season with salt.
This is super eaze to make, (somewhat o_O) nutritious, and made me forget that there were only precious few hours left in the weekend.
I was so enamored with the way tequila so easily pairs with the sweetness of watermelon, that I made this for desert---Tequila Sherbet. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge.
Dip the glass upside down into a small plate of sugar until rim is evenly coated.
Fill with 3 scoops of sherbet.
Pour 2 tablespoons of tequila over the sherbet.
Garnish with a lime wedge, and serve with a spoon. Mercy, it's good!
