How to make tea-infused soap favors

Channel your inner Martha Stewart! This guide helps you make personalized tea-infused soaps and package them for gifts that will impress any tea lover!

Gather your materials. For this I only used 1 soap base and opted for Green Tea mixed with Mint tea (great smelling and awesome for skin)!

Make a cup of your favorite tea. I used both mint and green. Yum! You can take a few sips while no one's looking!

Chop up your soap base and add it to a double boiler. Looks like white chocolate!

Once melted the mixture will take on the translucent color of your tea. Remove from double boiler. Let it cool in the fridge a few minutes. No more than 5min if you're taking the next optional step...

I add the dried mint tea leaves to the mixture once it has started to solidify to ensure they are evenly distributed rather than sinking to the bottom. This OPTIONAL step is a great exfoliant!

Fold up a piece of paper and cut into the shape of your choice making sure the fold is on the bottom.

Decorate both sides of the cut-outs. You can personalize them as much or as little as you like!

Place the string between the folded ends of the cut-out, and staple in place (you may instead opt to use glue to seal the cut-out's shut around the string).

Once cooled, pop your soaps out of their molds. Manually brush off any loose pieces and smooth uneven edges. To make shapes you can use a knife or use cookie cutters!

This works better with rectangles but will be impressive whatever shape you choose! Protect soap by wrapping with wax paper, and place it on flat sheet of wax paper. Paper size depends on soap size.

Fold sides tightly around the bar, and use a piece of tape to keep in place. You may need to cut the paper if there's too much overlap. If paper's edge reaches the side of the soap--it's too long.

Fold the point down once, place the string you created earlier  on top and staple together (you may want to secure this with tape as well).

Now you have a cute giftable homemade tea soap that looks like  a tea bag! Super simple but people will think you're Martha Stewart!
