Pressure cook lentils with turmeric powder
Heat oil in a wok
Add cummin seeds
Add chopped garlic
After a minute add one finely chopped onion
Add a pinch of hing
Once the onions are brown add salt
Add chilli powder
One you get a nice aroma of chillies . Add in the cooked lentils
And adjust the consistency of the dal with bit of water. Serve hot with roti and enjoy
