STEPS
TOOLS
First, cut strips of papers in varying length and width. I used decorative scissors in some of the strips. Then ink the edges with distress ink of your choice. I used Tea dye.
Cut a piece of corrugated cardboard, approximately to serve as photo mat. Paint with gesso and very light pink acrylic paint. Ink the edges with distress ink and gold ink.
Layer the strips of papers, painted corrugated cardboard and some gauze/cheese clothe sprayed with some mists under the photo. Add some cut out pieces as well.
Add embellishments like flowers and chipboard pieces. I inked the edges of the chipboard pieces first like the strips of papers.
Use foam tapes to add dimension to stickers. Mat the stickers first on cardstock to make it sturdier.
Use the flowers instead of thick foam tapes under chipboard/element clusters.
Add strings and threads for special interest. Use strips of paper for journaling.
Graphic 45 staples like keys and keyholes added contrast to the soft and delicate colors in the page.
Inking the edges of the whole page makes the center of the page stand out, in my opinion. Hope you like my page and simple tutorial. Happy crafting!
