Gather your supplies!
Soy sauce, ginger and rice vinegar!
Add 3 cups sushi rice to rice cooker.
Rinse rice until water is no longer cloudy.
Keep doing this until it isn't:)
Once rice is clean, drain water and then add appropriate amount to cook rice.
Get crab and begin to cut in even strips...

Julienne carrots, cucumbers, and avocado if desired.
Note how they all have similar shape and ideally the same length.
Add three tablespoons of rice vinegar to a small bowl.
Also add sugar and salt to taste.
Add rice to a large bowl.
Add rice vinegar mix by slicing rice. Add more if needed to separate rice easily.
Spread rice on seaweed evenly leaving a border on just the top and bottom.
Add your vegetable and fish in the center.
Roll the bamboo up, using pressure to create the roll and seal the seaweed.
It should look something like this.
Cut the sushi into pieces.
Arrange and enjoy! 😊
- 2.0c Sushi rice (Calrose works)
- 1.0 Cucumber
- 1.0 Full carrot
- Imitation Crab (or other fish) or Avocado
- Dried Seaweed (Nori)
- 1.0 Sushi Mat (or more)
- 3.0Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
- 3.0pch Sugar
- 3.0pch Salt
- Soy sauce (optional)
- Ginger (optional)
