Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Chop peaches and strawberries into equally sized pieces. Place in a medium bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Rub butter into flour mixture.
Mixture should be crumbly.
Take 1/3 cup of the flour mixture and toss with fruit. This will help thicken the fruit juices when baking.
Put fruit into 8" or 9" baking dish.
Add milk and vanilla to flour mixture and stir to combine.
Break up the dough with your fingers and place over fruit.
Bake for 40 minutes or until topping is golden and berries are bubbling.
Allow to cool before serving. Then ENJOY!
