How to make spectacular garlic bread
This garlic bread is made from scratch and has the most wonderful roasted garlic flavour. Once you make it you'll never want any other type!

INGREDIENTS
Take one quantity of white bread dough. Freshly made and proven
Take a garlic bulb (or 2!)
Separate the cloves and remove the outer paper skin
Place in a roasting tray and drizzle with olive oil. Roast at 180°C for 10-15 minutes
Push the garlic cloves into the bread dough and squeeze until all I the flesh oozes out and into the dough. Knead for 2 minutes
Split the dough into 2 lengths and place on a baking tray. Allow to rise for an hour
Sprinkle with dried oregano and olive oil
Bake at 200°C for 25-30 minutes or until it sounds hollow when tapped
Cut into 1.5 cm slices
Place under a preheated grill and put a slice of mozzarella on top of each slice
Cool until the cheese bubbles! I guarantee you won't want to try any other garlic bread after this one! Enjoy!!
- White bread dough
- 1.0 Garlic bulb
- 1.0Tbsp Olive oil
- 1.0tsp Dried oregano
- 1.0 Ball of mozzarella
