STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Gather all ingredients.
Put pork and beef in a large bowl.
Add salt, pepper, dried oregano, and egg.
Add breadcrumbs. I used plain and Panko.
Throw in some garlic.
Tomato paste (optional)
Shred in some cheese. I used parm, asiago, and fontina.
Throw in some fresh chopped parsley.
And some basil.
Cube up some mozzarella if you want to stuff your meatballs. I stuffed half.
These are the meatballs formed around the mozzarella cubes.
By the way, I used olive oil on the pans. All of the meatballs went in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven until cooked through.
Here they are baking away. A lot of mozzarella runs out, but there is still cheese inside.
See...lots of run out.
After baking, I threw meatballs in store bought pasta sauce and let everything simmer together a while.
Boil some pasta during the simmer.
Now it is happy. I added some fresh basil at the end.
Serve with parm and garlic bread.
See...still cheese inside! Yummy dinner!
