Soak 125 grams of soybeans in water overnight
This is what it looks like after soaking overnight
Drain the water. And microwave it for 2 min. This removes the bitterness in the beans
Add the warm beans to a blender
Add enough water so that the beans are submerged
Now grind the beans in a blender till a slightly thick pouring consistency. Add water accordingly
Now take a milk vessel and put a strainer over it
Pour the soy-water mixture in the strainer. Make sure the beans are ground finely. If not run it in the blender again.
With the help of a spoon drain the water (milk) so that the residue would remain in the strainer
This is how it should look. Make sure you strain well and double strain just to make sure no residue is collected in the milk.
Boil the milk. Keep stirring so that it doesn't stick to the bottom. Last thing you want is to burn it!
You can add chocolate or any flavor to it or have it plain as they do in the east or have it with bran flakes ( or any other cereal) like I do! Add honey or sugar, really upto you! Enjoy!
