Open up the Graphic 45 Red ATC Policy Envelopes. To make these gift card holders for Christmas you will use the Graphic 45 Winter Wonderland 8x8 paper pad.
For the first gift card holder, take out 2 of the red dotted ATC Policy Envelopes as shown in this photo.
Gently remove the black string closure pieces on both envelopes. It's okay if it tears the envelope a bit as you will be covering this area with patterned paper. Set the closures aside for later
Apply glue to one flap as shown.
Insert the flap with the glue inside the other ATC Policy Envelope as shown.
Apply glue to the inside of the remaining flap and attach down onto the ATC envelope. Note: The string closure should have been removed before gluing down the flap.
You will now have a "booklet" made from 2 envelopes. Open up and on the inside use a 1" circle punch or a tab punch to punch the opening on the right side.
Fold the gift holder back up.
Cut patterned paper of your choice. You will need two each cut at 2 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide. If desired, ink or color the edges of the papers with a Distress Marker.
Apply glue to the back side of each piece of patterned paper.
Attach to the front and back of the gift card.
On one of the string closures like the one shown here, apply glue to the back side of the closure.
Attach string closure onto the gift card holder on the back side toward the opened end of the booklet.
Glue the other piece of the string closure to the front side of the gift holder on the same end as the one on the back. (Toward the open end of the booklet)
For the inside, cut 2 each from patterned paper 2 1/2" tall x 3 5/8" wide. If desired, ink or color the edges of the papers with a distress marker.
Be sure to attach the paper on the left so that it fits up to the center of the booklet as shown.
Mark with a pencil where the notch is on the right side and punch the patterned paper before gluing it down.
When gluing the patterned paper down, offset it a bit from the notch.
The inside should look like this once patterned on both sides. The notched side is the pocket for your gift card.
if you have not already done so, remember to re-attach the string closure with glue to the outside of the holder. The one with the string attached should be on the back.
If desired, you can decorate the inside of your holder. Cut 1 piece of decorative patterned paper to 3 1/4" wide x 2 1/8" tall.
Glue to the left of the holder on the inside.
Cut 1 piece of matching decorative patterned paper to 2 1/2" wide x 2" tall and glue to the right side on the inside. If you will be adding a journal piece, you can skip this step. (see next steps)
Select a pocket piece for the Tags & Pockets Winter Wonderland package.
Cut off the decorative top as shown.
Trim the journal side to fit as needed.
Apply a line of glue to the back side of the journal piece along the bottom and the two sides to create a pocket.
Glue to the right side (the side with the thumb notch) on the inside of the holder.
Select a tag from the Tags & Pockets package.
Cut off the top. You will need to measure the top part to cut it so that it fits into the pocket of the holder.
Apply glue as shown on the back and to the BOTTOM of the tag after you have cut it apart.
Re-attach the bottom of the tag to the backside of the top portion of the tag as shown. This creates a pocket on the tag.
Use a corner rounder of 1/4" chomper to round the bottom corneres.
Insert the tag into the pocket that you've already attached to the inside of your booklet or gift card holder.
Add a love cut apart or sticker to the left side as shown.
Take an extra black closure piece that you have removed from another policy envelope and saved.
Apply glue to the top of the tag as shown.
Attach the closure to the glue at the top.
Re-insert the tag with the closure piece into the pocket as shown. This closure piece keeps the tag from falling too far into the pocket.
To decorate the front of the gift card holder, punch out a chipboard piece, ink the edges and tie a black twine string ribbon as shown.
Attach with glue to the front side of the gift card holder booklet.
Use clear Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the image on the chipboard piece.
For your second gift card holder booklet, select the red numbers ATC policy envelopes and removed the black closure pieces.
Apply glue to the inside of one flap as shown.
Insert into the other policy envelope and attach the glued flap.
Fold the remaining flap on the right side as shown. Do not attach down.
Use small magnet snaps to create a closure for the flap.
Open the flap up and trace the shape of the flap onto a piece of printed paper as shown.
Cut out the patterned paper you just traced and ink the edges.
Glue onto the flap over the magnet.
Measure and cut a piece of matching patterned paper to cover the front of the booklet over the opposing magnet. Glue the paper to the envelope as shown.
Measure and cut a piece of patterned paper to cover the back side of the booklet and the other side of the flap.
Select a chipboard piece. Cover the back side with patterned paper (the side that will show when the booklet is opened up. Apply glue to the right back side of the chipboard piece.
Attach the right side of the chipboard piece to the front of the flap as shown. Use round chipboard elements to cover the holes of the chipboard piece. This creates a lift for the magnet closure flap.
Wrap green button string twine around the spine of the booklet and tie into a bow on the left upper corner.Add another matching chipboard circle to the center of the bow.Add clear Nuvo Glitter drops.
The next three gift card holders are very easy to make. You leave the ATC policy envelope as is with the string closures attached. Trim down a cutapart from the 8x8 pad to fit onto the front.
Glue to the envelope as shown. Fussy cut out part of the image if desired as I've done on the lower right side. Fussy cut out another Poinsettia flower to layer onto the one in the image.
Glue in the center over the flower image on the cutapart, Slightly curl the tips of the flower petals. Add Clear Wink of Stella if desired and drops of Nuvo Glitter to the snowy scene.
Add some Nuvo Glitter Drops to the center of the flower.
Cover the other two ATC envelopes with cutaparts and decorate as desired. These are great for quick and easy gift card holder. And are pretty too!
