STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 375F.
Fill a pot with water and set the burner on high to get the water to boil.
Water is boiling and ready for pasta 😄
Add both boxes to your boiling water...
and give it a stir...
Add some olive oil to help the noodles to not clump.
Definitely salt your water for flavor.
After the pasta is done, drain it and set aside.
Grate both your cheese blocks...
All of it! 😋
Get your butter softened in the microwave for 8 seconds at a time, flipping a couple times just to soften but not melted.
Like so...
Crack your egg, letting only the white into the bowl.... I know, it might be tricky for some 😉
Now it's time to make the MAC!!! First spread your glass 9x13 pan with some butter.
Add your first layer of pasta down and even it all out.
Like so...
Next add dollops (love this word) of butter down here and there, like pictured.
See how it's somewhat even....
Next sprinkle some salt all around..,
and a sparse sprinkling of pepper...a little goes a long way, okay? 😉
Next, add about a third of your half and half, pouring it all around on the pasta.
Next comes the cheesy goodness! Yes, add a liberal amount throughout 😋
Like so...and repeat the layering process twice more.
This is how it looks after 3 layers of pasta and cheese. We are not done yet...
We need to give the top coat of cheese a sheen, so either dump or brush your egg white on, or leave it off if you don't think it necessary. It's up to you 😉
and into the oven it goes!
Just snuck a peek and OMG it looks so yummy 😋😆👍
Here it is out of the oven...
