Peel and core the apples. These were from the tree in my garden!
Add the chopped apples to the pan, and grate in the zest of half a lemon
Add the water to the pan
Cover the pan and simmer on a low heat until the apple mix is soft and mushy
Beat with a wooden spoon to get this consistency
Add the sugar and butter to the slightly cooled mixture and beat until incorporated.
Put mix into sterilised jars and keep in the fridge until needed! Enjoy!
- 225.0g Apples, peeled and cored
- 0.0 Lemon - zest only
- 15.0g Butter
- 1.0tsp Caster sugar
- 2.0Tbsp Water
