How to make simple appetizers for holiday party
I want to share some ideas for holiday entertaining. The total prep time is less than an hour. The recipes catered about 12-15 people in a 1 bedroom New York apartment.

INGREDIENTS
To make pigs in a blanket: get 2 rolls of Pillsbury crescents. The freshly made ones are much much better than the frozen ones.
Pour the cocktail hotdogs in a small pan (drain the liquid out). Cook on medium heat for about 5 mins until the hotdogs are lightly browned. This way the hotdogs are not going to be super greasy.
Cut each crescent dough into 2 or 3 triangular pieces. Wrap each hotdogs with dough. Doesn't need to be super pretty. Lightly grease the baking sheet.
In a 375 F oven (190 Celsius), bake the baby hotdogs till golden, about 12 to 16 mins. Serve with mustard.
Cut the bacon strips in half. Wrap each date with 1/2 strip of bacon. Place them on a baking sheet (with rims). Name for this appetizer: devils on horseback.
Bake for 20 mins on each side under 350F degrees. Or until the bacon is crispy. I know the picture here doesn't look too good. But trust me this recipe is going to be a hit!
In a large serving bowl, plate sliced zucchini, baby carrots and plain pita chips. Add chopped fresh basil or parsley, black pepper and olive oil on hummus.
