In a small bowl add sesame ginger dressing to olive oil. I eyeballed this but tried to give measurements in the supplies. You may feel like you need to add more of any ingredient.
This is the dressing I used. It has a good mix of sesame and ginger flavor. You could add something with miso in it if you have that on hand.
To the base marinade add sesame oil. This smells really great but a little goes a long way.
Pepper to taste
I like a lot if garlic flavor so I did about 4 shakes of it.
Add onion powder
And a little mrs. Dash. I try not to cook with salt very often and I find this adds a decent amount of flavor.
This seasoning is super versatile. I recommend it for lamb or steaks too. If you can't find this, add sesame seeds both toasted and non toasted and a little more garlic and granulated onions.
I used about two heaping tablespoons of brown sugar. But you can always adjust this to your preference.
After mixing the glaze, pour over the salmon in a gallon freezer bag. Really rub the marinade into the filets. Then store in the fridge for a couple of hours.
Rub glaze into filets and place onto a baking sheet. Broil on high in a lower shelf in the oven for about 15 minutes or until done.
Test doneness by flaking off a piece at the thickest point.
I served mine with a mixed greens salad. Enjoy!
