How to make salt dough necklaces

First mix your salt, and flour and slowly add water. If it's watery, stir longer or use your hands to mush it together. If it's still watery, add more flour and salt of the same quantity.

Mush dough into a ball, and take it out of the bowl when done mixing.

Roll you dough out with a rolling pin, so it's about 2-3 centimeters thick.

Get your cookie cutters or knife, and cut small to medium shapes into the rolled out dough. Make as many shapes as you can fit in the dough. (Attempt to make them smaller).

Get a plastic straw and push it through the very top of the shape, so there's a hole for the string.

Put your cut-outs on a microwave safe plate, and put them in the microwave for 3 minutes. For best result, preheat to 325 degrees fahrenheit, and bake for one hour.

When done baking, let it cool. You can use perment maker or paint to decorate your charm piece. Paint works best. Do two coats of paint.

If you paint, let it dry over night.

Get your yarn of elastic string, and you can lace it through or tie a knot to keep it in place. ( Larks head knot work best ).

To tie your necklace around your neck, you might need help.

If you make a long necklace, you can tie it and pull it over your head.
