STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Main supplies... I forgot to add the list of supplies for the gravy... All u need is flour, salt & pepper to taste & water...
Add oil to your pan...
Bacon or slab... All u need is about 2 inches for each cut of meat...
Lay your beef flat...
Spread your mustard, small layer all over your meat...
Add your bacon...
Add a few cuts of onion...
Add a couple slices of pickle...
Roll your meat...
Rolling...
Once rolled, hold together with two or more tooth picks...
Salt & pepper each side to your liking...
Add to pan ( make sure oil is hot)
Brown bottom then flip to other side (you want medium heat)
Once browned add enough water to cover the bottom of your meat... Lower your heat to simmer...
Cover your pan...
Check your meat always keeping enough water to simmer... Should take a good hour... Your goal here is to slow cook so the meat is tender... And tooth pick slides out easily..
Remove your meat from pan... Add your gravy (flour, salt, pepper, a little cold water)... Stir! No lumps!
Place your rouladen (meat) back in pan & simmer again for a good 15-20 min... Covered.
Add your sides... Pasta & red cabbage in this pic...
Boiled potatoes & red cabbage with this one :)
All done! Enjoy! (My first attempt in publishing a how to guide... ) Please let me know what you think...
