Take roses out of the bouquet.

Use a sharp paring knife to cut off about an inch of the stem on an angle. Then, slice UP the stem about another inch. This allows the stem to continue to take up water.

Remove leaf stems that are either wilting or underwater.

Repeat with all roses in the arrangement.

Add about 1 cup of lemon-lime soda or the flower food granule packet that came with the flowers to warm tap water in the vase. Make sure it is mixed well.

Replace the flowers in the vase. Repeat the process every other day and you will enjoy your beautiful flowers for at least a week!
