INGREDIENTS
Preheat oven to 180 celcius Combine all the dry ingredients- flour, cocoa powder and baking soda in a bowl. In a pouring jug, Combing the buttermilk and the red food colouring along with the vinegar.

Cream the butter and the sugar for 3-4 minutes until fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract all together. Beat till the mixture gets pale and fluffy.

Add the dry ingredients in 4 goes alternating with the buttermilk mixture. Don't get scared by the redness! A red velvet is a red velvet!

This is what your batter should look like! Spoon it into a 12 holder cupcake tray, or individual moulds, or you can even make a cake! One recipe makes 12-14 cupcakes.

Bake them at 180 degrees Celsius for 18-20 minutes! After baking cool on a wire mesh for 30 minutes.

Decant from the tray! Look how red they are :)

You can ice them with a cream cheese icing by taking 8 ounces of cream cheese and adding 2 cups of sugar and some vanilla.

- 2.0Tbsp Red food coloring.

- 113.0g Unsalted butter.
- 300.0g Powdered sugar.
- 2.0 Eggs.
- Cupcake trays
- 1.0 Electric beater/ Stand mixer.
