This is what you need. This should take less then an a hour to make!
Should be able to find Vegeta in the spice section. This contains a lot of salt so you may want to put in a little less and add some extra later if needed. That's why I use unsalted butter.
Cube the potatoes.
Put potatoes in pot and fill with water. Enough water to cover potatoes.
Add Vegeta to water and let boil. Boil potatoes until done, about 20 minutes. Poke a fork in them. If you get any on the fork then boil a little longer.
While the spuds are boiling, cook the bacon until done. Not too crispy.
In another pot melt the butter.
Add flour to the butter and whisk until blended.
When potatoes are done, mash them!
Add the flour-butter mixture to the mashed potatoes.
Turn off the heat and add the cream. Stir until mixed.
Chop up the bacon and add to soup. Add pepper to taste. You can also put in cubes of ham instead. Grated cheese can be added also.
And the soup is ready to eat.
- 8.0 White potato
- 1/4c Vegeta
- 1.0lb Bacon
- 3/4c Unsalted Butter
- 1.0c Flour
- 1.0pch Pepper to taste
- 1.0l Half and half cream
