How to make paper lanterns

Get your paper

Choose wether u want tall or short

This way for tall

This way for short (I'll be doing tall)

Draw a line the thickness of the ruler on both sides

Draw design if u want Important leave other side of line blank

Fold with blank spot to the top

Make little hashes at every half inch

Either make a very light line or if you are confident make only a hash where I'm pointing

Cut of strip it will be your handle

Cut to line NOT PAST OR ALL THE WAY try to be straight but nobody is perfect

Once all are cut unfold use eraser to erase pencil mark not the ones seperating blank from design

Add single strip designs now if u wish (I'm not going to)

Cut off strip NOT including blank part you could u it as strap but I find it to be to short

Line up and leave a space for them to bend tape staple or glue whatever just make it stick together both ends

Add handle and voila

Experiment with different papers and designs enjoy and this is my first so thanks for learning how to make lanterns and plz if possible send pics
