1.) Melt butter in a cereal bowl, covered in a paper towel in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Let cool if needed.
2.) In a medium sized bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar with a whisk.
3.) Combine milk, egg, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
4.) Pour liquid all at once into dry ingredients; stir together just until al flour is moistened.
5.) preheat an electric skillet to 300.
6.) Grease lightly- just enough to prevent pancakes from sticking.
7.) Pour batter, about 1/4 cup for each pancake, onto hot griddle; spread batter out to make a 5- inch circle.
8.) Flip when bubbles form and just start to pompon top surface, and edges appear dry.
