How to make painted/distressed mason jar

Gather your supplies

Clean your jar with rubbing alcohol and wash with warm soapy water.

Start painting on your first coat.

Yay! All done with the first coat! Let this dry for about 30-60 min.

Put a very thin second coat on. If you start too soon like I did you will get spots like these (top left hand corner) so be sure it's dry enough. Let the second coat dry overnight.

Put on a third coat.

Take sandpaper and gently rub on the edges of the jar. You're done!
