Pick out some of your favorite lucky stars. If you don't know how to make them check out my guide on how to :)
Pick out some earrings hooks and some head pins or eye pins.
Find some beads to match your lucky stars.
In the next few photos I am going to show you how to prep and glaze your stars for jewelry. Glazing the stars helps to keep them from flattening after "wear and tare".
Take your needle and make a hole in your lucky star.
With a paint brush or old nail polish brush put the glaze over your star and let it dry for 10 mins or so.
Stick the star on a piece of styrofoam so it can dry. While your waiting for it try dry let's glaze a few more :).
Take 2 beads and 1 star and put them on a head pin.
Bead the head pin forward. The is going to make our loop to attach to the earring hook.
Take your wire cutters and cut off the excess head pin. Leave around an inch so we can make the loop.
Take the end of the pin and your pliers and curl the pin forward making a loop.
Here is a picture of the finished loop.
Lets do the same thing but with the bigger star.
Before you close your loop lets attach the first star.
Close the loop and then all you have to do is add the earring hook and you are done.
Follow this combo :(bead, star, bead, star, bead, bead). If you don't want them to dangle too much you can put everything on 1 head pin.
Here is the pair together, and another shot of my daughters hand.
You can do many combos of beads and stars. You can even add charms if you like. Here are a few more photos of other styles of earrings.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions or would like to see anything else please don't hesitate to ask :) . Have a wonderful day!
