How to make orchid planter boxes for under $4 a piece

Picked these up for $4 each. They are cedar and 8' long. I used 1 per planter box

Cut them roughly 9" long

Then ripped them down the middle on the table saw

Then did a few layouts to see what worked best. I made sure to do them at the same time so they would be even

I used an air stapler but you could use nails

Then just dropped into place and stapled them together

I applied a liberal amount of tung oil to all sides

Love how this oil brings out the wood

Then let them dry
