Gather your ingredients and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
Cream the butter until fluffy.
Add the granulated sugar while mixing.
Also add the brown sugar.

Throw in the vanilla and orange extract and mix until distributed.

Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.
Scoop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a parchment-covered cookie sheet.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.
