How to make my personal favorite potato salad

This recipe is a combination of my grandmothers and an old friends recipe. I actually mash my potatoes a little bit more than usual, just to add a personal touch to it. Hope you enjoy!

Boiling the potatoes! First make sure to have a big enough saucepan to boil your potatoes. Put the potatoes into the saucepan whole and fill with water. Boil at a high temperature for 30 to 45 minuets

HINT: To make sure that the potatoes are ready, use a fork and poke them. If the fork slides right in they are ready. If the fork is a bit rough going in, let the potatoes boil for another 10 minuets.

After the eggs are done boiling, be careful and pour the eggs into a strainer. Run cold water over the eggs, until they are cool. (You don't want to burn your finger while peeling the shells off)

Next, gather your celery sticks. Rinse them and cut them to freshness.

Black olives time, if your using a can of olives, make sure to carefully open the can with a can opener and drain the olive juice out. Place on a plate and get ready to chop them.

Now prepare all the other ingredients that will be mixed into the salad. (Mayonnaise, mustard, pimiento, dill pickle relish, paprika, salt, black pepper)

By now the potatoes should be all boiled and done. Pour them into the strainer and drain the water. (BE VERY CAREFUL). Run cold water onto the potatoes to cool them down.

After running water on the potatoes, let them cool off for about 10 minuets.

After the 10 minuets of cooling down, the potatoes are ready to be some what mashed. Place the potatoes into the bowl you will be storing the salad in and mash them to your preference.

Now get your "Bowl of chopped goods" and pour the ingredients into the bowl of potatoes.

Now add a teaspoon of salt into the mix.

Now add mustard to the mix. Add as much or as little of mustard to your preference. (Remember the more you add the more tangy your potaote salad will taste).

Next thing to do is mix, mix, mix all of the ingredients until it looks like this 👉

Here it is, your finished Potato Salad! Add some paprika to the top of the salad for some color and more flavor.
