How to make my irish cottage pie

A really simple recipe that anyone can do. This feeds 4-6 depending on portion size. My favourite thing to eat on a wet and cold Irish day. Enjoy!!

I hate lumps of mince, so I give my raw mince a couple of chop ups before cooking it! (I only used half of this portion of mince )

Wash, peel and cut your potatoes in half. I like to do this step before even putting the meat on. More convenient during the cooking process :-)

Begin browning your meat with a little olive oil. Add salt and pepper..

At this stage, I got my potatoes on to boil.

When the veg has softened, I then like to add some drops of worcestershire sauce to the meat... Starting to smell gooooddd..

Pop in as many frozen peas as you like. We like lots!

Beef stock time. I recommend approx 250ml of water. Remember, do not add to the mix until fully dissolved in water.

I just LOVE HP brown sauce, and it makes the cottage pie taste sooo good! It adds a beautiful flavour.

In goes 2oz of real butter, 100 mls of single cream and a dash of milk. Season to taste.
