STEPS
INGREDIENTS
First step is too preheat your oven to 375 F.
Ingredients you will need.
Get a bowl out for mixing all your ingredients up.
I prefer this glass one. It has a lid for storing the dough if I want to only make a few cookies at a time. ;)
Next step is to add your ingredients into the bowl. My mom didn't have an order in which to do this but I say add the wet first, then the dry.
First I cut 3/4 cup of a shortening stick and dropped it into the bowl.
Then I added the four tablespoons of molasses. ;)
Time to add the 1 cup of sugar ;)
At this point, mix together the ingredients added so far.
Should look like this ;)
Add in the 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Next add the 1 teaspoon of ginger.
Add in the two cups of flour ;)
Add the two teaspoons of baking soda.
Got to add the egg! I forgot to add it earlier with the other wet stuff, but that's okay ;)
Time to mix the rest of the stuff together.
Add in about 1/8 cup of water just to moisten it a little. ;)
Added the water and its moist enough to roll in balls now.
Pour some sugar in a bowl, roll a ball of dough, and roll it in sugar.
Then put your rolled ball onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Add more balls until full.
Full sheet of balls ;)
Cookies in oven now! Yay! ;)
Now the cookies need to bake for 10 minutes so set your kitchen timer.... and dance around to your favorite music, go outside and get some fresh air, or sit down and put your feet up ;)
Almost done and they are looking so tasty!!! Mmmmm good ;)
Before you pull them out of the oven, get your cooling rack ready ;)
Transfer the cookies from the cookie sheet to the cooling rack. ;)
Enjoy! Thank you mom ;)
