Gather your supplies.  I got out 2 cold press blocks, gesso, Sincity Stamps Stamp Sets, Spray Inks and stamp pads.

These blocks are already primed, but I added a thick layer of Gesso.  I used it to get texture on my block.  Gesso is thinner than Molding Paste and I love getting texture from my paint brush.

I used a stencil from SinCity Stamps and spray ink for the next layer.  Let dry.

Use stamps to randomly stamp on the block.  I used the number stamp from SinCity Stamps.

Add more Gesso on the block to soften some of the harder lines from the stencil and stamps.  Let dry.

Now use the leaf stamps on the block.  Use different colors and stamp randomly again.

Stamp the same leaves in the same colors on cardstock.  Tear 2 pieces of cardstock, approx 4" long by 2"high, write "Thankful" and "Blessings" on them and ink edges.  Cut out the leaves.

Add ink splatters to the blocks.  Ink around the edges.

Adhere the cut out leaves to the block with foam tape.  Place them exactly over the leaves you stamped on the block.  Layer writing on top of cardboard.  Finish with rope.

Again, adhere the cut out leaves to the stamped leaves on the block with foam dots.  Add burlap and rope and put "Thankful" on top.

I love how these blocks turned out!  I might put them in frames and place them on my foyer table. Or I could glue them to my art journal.  Binding several of these into a new journal is also.....
