Assemble your ingredients
Put the water to boil
When boiling, add the sugar
Stir vigorously
Continue stirring
Return the sugar water to a boil as you stir. Once boiling, stir for a few more moments, then turn the heat off.
Bruise the mint leaves slightly and place them into the hot sugar water. Allow the water to cool to room temp.
When room temperature remove the mint leaves and discard.
Transfer to a bowl or bottle for serving. Congrats, you know have mint-infused simple syrup ready for your next batch of mint juleps or lemonade. Keeps about a week to ten days refrigerated.
