How to make microwave caramels

I'm hopeless when it comes to making sweets. They burn or tastes wrong or look odd. So when I found this recipe for caramels, it was so simple that I had to give it a try.

Stir everything together in a microwave safe dish. Use one that is quit deep, because the sugar mix will expand during cooking.

Grease another dish for the caramel to set in. Cook the caramel on high in the microwave. Cook for 2 minutes and stir, cook for 2 minutes and stir, cook for 2 minutes and you are done. As easy as that

Cut into pieces and wrap in wax paper. Keep them in a airtight container. Mine turned out a bit hard and the last ones I cut splintered so next time I'll give them 30 seconds less.

I have successfully made my first Christmas sweets and they are just lovely chewy and stick to your teeth as they should. And best of all they tastes just like caramels should do. 😄

Just made caramel again and gave them 5 minutes and 30 seconds. They came out very soft, more like fudge. I could cut them and wrap them in wax paper with no problems. My micro ovens high is 1000 w.
