How to make mexican salsa or pico de gallo

I do not like the kind of salsa that makes your mouth die. Your taste buds fall off. Or snot run from your nose like a faucet. I want to enjoy both my meal and the gentle spiciness of the salsa.

These are the main ingredients! I love how colorful they are. I buy a large can of jalape\u00f1os & pour them into a plastic container. (It's not a requirement). As long as you get whole ones. It's cool.

First. Get your supplies: Bowl. Knife. Mixing spoon. 1/4 C. Cup. 1 Tsp spoon.

Picking tomatoes...... They should be firm. Squeeze them GENTLY.... No soft spots.

Ok!! After washing your tomatoes. (No soap needed) Dice them. Put them in the bowl. (after you dice them.)

Get your whole onion. Cut in half. Then dice it. I like it more on the minced side. Then add it to the bowl.

Cilantro. Ok. Separate it. Take the whole bunch in your hands and take half of it and use that. Then chop off the tail. Like that ^^  Throw that tail away. Then finely chop the rest & add to bowl.

Next are the jalapeños! Yikes! Remember not to touch your eyes! Your nose! Your mouth! Ok. Any part of your face...DURING the handling of these suckers!! After you deal with them wash your hands!

Then slice it in half.  Scoop out the seeds. Use your knife or spoon. Do the same with the other one.

Put in bowl. Voila!!  Everyone is reunited. Mix.

Add 1/4 C of the Jalape\u00f1o juice.

Take the lemons and roll them. I think it makes them easier to squeeze! Then cut them & squeeze them into the bowl!

I forgot the picture. But Add 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt. Did you read correctly?? Half. TEA SPOON.

Ok. If it is toooooo spicy. Too lemony. Too salty. Just at more tomatoes. Start with one at a time. Make sure you dice it first. Don't get crazy and drop a whole tomato in there.

Mix thoroughly!! Yay!! You're done! It tastes better after it chills. So it's good to make it the night before.
