Quarter turnips and boil well to a soft mashable consistency. If you are a singer try drinking the boiled water and get back to me if it works or not!
Mash like potatoes, add a couple pats of butter, salt and pepper to taste!

How to make mashed turnips

Turnips are a quandary. Legend has it Opera singers drink the water of boiled turnips before a concert. Use them instead of potatoes in stews and soups. But I just plain like to mash 'em!
