PART 1 the short bread Make sure your butter is room temperature! SUPER IMPORTANT
1/2 Cup or a stick of butter Add salt if using unsalted (check ingredient list)
Add to a dish and flattened it out as evenly as possible then use a fork to make holes all over the short bread BAKE AT AN OVEN AT 350 DEGREES FOR 22 MINUTES
Part 2 The lemon layer USE REAL LEMONS
1 tablespoon of lemon zest
1/4 cup lemon juice
POUR ONTO SHORT BREAD AND Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
- For the short bread
- 0.0c Room temp. butter (1stick)
- 1.0c All purpose flour
- 0.0c Powdered sugar
- 0.0tsp Vanilla
- 0.0tsp Salt (if using unsalted butter)
- For the lemon layer
- 2.0 Eggs
- 1.0 Egg yolk
- 1.0c Sugar
- 2.0Tbsp All purpose flour
- 0.0c Lemon juice
- 1.0Tbsp Lemon zest
