How to make 🍋lemon-orange🍊 zest drink

I love using these half gallon jars! They are great for canning juice. I also use for dry storage, refrigerated storage and for drinks!

For a half gallon..grab 1 cup granulated sugar.

These jars have the measurements right on them.

1 cup sugar

Grab the microplane. I love mine. I zest with it, grate down nutmeg, garlic, ginger and cinnamon sticks.

Zest your lemon. Zesting is just grating the outer yellow of the lemon.

See the zest? This will add so much flavor to the drink. Pour over the sugar.

Cut the peel off and slice up lemon.

Lemon slices in.

Grab the orange.

Zest it as well.

You should smell this. Zest releases the oil from the peel and...👃👃👃..it's great.

Now grab your trusty wooden spoon. I could not make anything without my wooden spoons.

And mash.

Until it looks like this.

See?

Now water up to the top.

Pinch of Kosher salt.
